App / Push Notifications

The 2024 Camporee is utilizing a progressive web app to provide information and notifications to our attendees.

Here are the instructions to install the app and then to sign up to receive notifications.
Please note that it is a 3 step process.

Navigate to https://camporee.troop73southaven.org/ on your smart phone by typing it in your phone browser or using the QR code:

Installing a PWA on iOS

The camporee app can be installed on iOS using the Safari web browser. First, navigate to this site in Safari. Press the “Share” button and select “Add to Home Screen” from the popup. Lastly, tap “Add” in the top right corner to finish installing the PWA. It will now be on your home screen.

Installing a PWA on Android

The default Chrome browser is capable of installing PWAs for Android. First, navigate to the site in Chrome. Press the “three dot” icon in the upper right to open the menu. Select “Install App” or “Add to Home screen” Press the “Install” or “Add” button in the popup. The PWA is now installed and available on your home screen.

Launch the Camporee App, then tap the red bell icon in the bottom right. Tap subscribe, then allow notifications from our site.

You should receive a test notification thanking you for subscribing.
